ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities.  Other duties may be assigned)
  • Must ensure compliance with federal, state, and interagency regulations
  • Model and enforce Lifeways’ policies and procedures in a fair manner
  • Must model the culture of excellent customer service as adapted by Lifeways, as well as Lifeways Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Provide leadership and strong dedication to developing and delivering evidence-based services and support for individuals with mental illness and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on outcome and program performance measures as defined internally and externally.  
  • Observe, supervise, and assist clinicians/providers on duty.
  • Assist clinicians with their professional development planning, provide timely and constructive feedback, as well as conduct performance evaluations as scheduled.
  • Meet with clinicians/providers at least 2 hours per month, with at least one hour of individual supervision.
  • Participate in court hearings, assessing and advocating for clients, collaboration with community partners.
  • Oversight of Aid and Assist processes, understanding and adhering to Oregon Statues and Oregon Health Authority codes, completing level of care consultations with clients, presenting clinical recommendations in Circuit Court, coordinating transition in court order treatment, collaborating with attorneys, Oregon State Hospital, Jail staff and court orders. 
  • Attend OHA liaison meetings for Aid and Assist.
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with community partners. Develop trainings for all Jail Diversion team, improve and maintain policies, procedures and workflows with community partners and internal staff. 
  • Foster effective teamwork and communication between all members.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mental health, behavioral, and/or alcohol and drug counseling
  • Ability to be a certified QMHP per OAR’s
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health, behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and other related areas.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record to meet insurance standards
  • Clinical supervisors in mental health programs must meet QMHP requirements and have completed two years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting. 
  • 2-3 years clinical supervisory experience
  • Meets ISSRs requirements
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Covid vaccine information or exception (medical or religious)
