Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities within our distribution center. This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and the development of staff to ensure compliance with established processes, safety protocols, quality assurance, effective communication, cost efficiency, and productivity benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to the distribution center team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and promote professional growth.
  • Ensure adherence to distribution center processes and procedures, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization to enhance operational productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to assess process performance and make informed decisions to drive operational excellence.
  • Supervise a team of 8-50 employees in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
  • Determine daily manpower needs and assign work to accommodate demand fluctuations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting regular inspections.
  • Facilitate open communication between management, team members, and other departments to align goals and objectives.
  • Focus on inventory control, accuracy, and addressing discrepancies.
  • Optimize resources and manage costs within the distribution center to meet budgetary targets.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a distribution center or warehouse setting.
  • Strong understanding of distribution center operations, including safety regulations, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer service.
