About Us:At Bittersweet Encounters, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health services to support individuals in their journey toward mental and emotional well-being. We are expanding our services from providing psychotherapy only to offering a variety of support groups aimed at helping individuals manage and overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and other behavioral health issues.

Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Group Facilitator to lead and facilitate our behavioral health support groups. This role is ideal for someone seeking part-time employment with flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a background in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, and possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals in a group setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Support Groups: Lead group sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment where participants can share experiences and receive mutual support.
  • Develop Group Curriculum: Create and implement structured group activities and discussions that align with the goals of the support group.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer empathy, understanding, and guidance to group members, helping them navigate their challenges and build resilience.
  • Monitor Group Dynamics: Observe and manage group interactions, ensuring respectful and constructive communication among participants.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality standards to protect the privacy of group members.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of group attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns that arise during sessions.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other mental health professionals and staff to ensure comprehensive care and support for group members.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience facilitating support groups or providing behavioral health services is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and support diverse individuals.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or licensure in mental health or counseling (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) are preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, empathetic, patient, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
