A Group Home Worker provides care and support to individuals living in a group home setting. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, promoting a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting the residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Daily Living Assistance:**
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Ensure residents adhere to prescribed medication schedules.
- Support residents in developing independent living skills.

2. **Health and Safety:**
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the appropriate medical professionals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly living environment.
- Implement and follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.

3. **Emotional and Social Support:**
- Foster a supportive and positive environment.
- Plan and participate in recreational and social activities.
- Encourage residents to engage in community activities and build social networks.

4. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress, behaviors, and incidents.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by supervisors or regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

5. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and supervisors.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive team environment.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in social work, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a group home or similar environment is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to handle challenging situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to lift and move residents as needed.
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and assisting with mobility.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
