The Operations Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing systems, processes, and employees to establish a scalable distribution network for materials and goods that supports business objectives and growth goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Direct all aspects of the distribution operation, including picking and packing, shipping and receiving, replenishment, production, returns, inventory control management, and facility maintenance.
  • Establish, evaluate, and maintain performance standards for all warehouse areas to ensure accountability and meet client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, implement new strategies for operating efficiencies, and ensure adherence to performance standards.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through continuous process improvements and automation to enhance margins and sustain profitability.
  • Manage planning and control systems for material flow from receiving through shipping, including transactional controls.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting efforts, labor, operating expenses, Profit & Loss, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Client Relations and Sales teams to successfully onboard new clients.
  • Strategic partnership with senior management to plan for future growth.
  • Analyze capacity, equipment requirements, client forecasts, business objectives, and organizational processes.
  • Develop and execute growth plans, especially for peak seasons.
  • Anticipate future resources, procedures, and system requirements based on evolving business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Systems like SAP software and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of the Wine & Spirits industry, including distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
  • Clear understanding of industry laws, regulations, and guidelines for compliance.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Systems such as SAP software and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of the Wine & Spirits industry, including distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories.

Every construction company claims to deliver quality projects safely, on time, and on budget, but few explain how they do it. We pride ourselves on our unique, daily approach to the details of projects that distinguishes us from the average.
