Role- OSP Field Engineer/ Site Runner Fielder

Job Description:
We are hiring for a construction site runner, often referred to as a construction laborer or general laborer, plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction projects. OSP Field Engineer position, you will prepare field notes and plan to lay Fiber with Drafters and Designers. This is very rewarding work and it's not too demanding.

Their responsibilities typically include:
  • The individual will be driving around the area, checking the status of known subdivisions, apartment buildings and businesses that are currently under construction.  
  • Their job will be to identify the construction status of each area, and identify any new areas currently under construction. This would be an entry level position.  
  • Though, a working vehicle, and a valid license is necessary.  Some sort of construction experience or utility experience is preferred though not necessary.
  • Able to read and understand work prints from various drafting systems, such as AutoCAD and ARAMIS.
  • Must be able to take field notes following OSP Design Principles and having the ability to transfer those notes into KMZ file is a plus.
  • Google Earth knowledge a plus.
  • Must understand pole loading and ROW permit needs.
  • Must be able to understand FTTx and AT&T GPON design is a plus.
