Seattle City Flag is a Seattle Civic Art non-profit organization dedicated to bringing inclusive public art to Seattle through civic design. Our mission is to partner with the City of Seattle to contemporize Seattle’s flag to reflect the region through art and culture. We operate in downtown Seattle, focusing on building community and connection through civic art.


Role Description

This is a volunteer hybrid role to join the board of Seattle City Flag as the Director of Non-Profit Administration. Anticipated commitment is about 5-7 hours / week.


This position will also serve in the official role of Secretary for Seattle City Flag. In addition, this role will develop and manage documentation to maintain compliance with the Washington Secretary of State, collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer for financial filings, contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures, manage internal communication and support the non-profit as it grows in scope.


Additionally, this position will also join our Committee of Non-Profit Development and collaborate with the Director of Non-Profit Development and Director of Community Outreach to develop then execute strategic initiatives.


This position is critical for providing Seattle City Flag with foundational non-profit corporate management.

  • Experience in non-profit administration or relevant field
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of non-profit financial regulations and reporting
  • Past experience serving as a non-profit's official Secretary is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, or Business Administration, or related field
  • Passion for civic art and community building
