Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the entire development process for waterfront properties, from site acquisition through to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Lead the permitting process, working closely with regulatory agencies to secure all necessary approvals, including environmental, zoning, and construction permits.
  • Site Evaluation: Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluations, and due diligence to assess development potential and identify risks and opportunities specific to waterfront properties.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and address any concerns.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial analysis to ensure project profitability.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design practices and innovative solutions tailored to waterfront environments, addressing unique challenges such as erosion control, flood risk, and environmental protection.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new opportunities for waterfront development that align with company strategy.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on waterfront properties.
  • Proven track record in managing complex permitting processes, including working with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, coastal zone management, and waterfront development best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging with public and private stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
