About the Position:

We are seeking a licensed Nonprofit Attorney to join our team and serve our diverse client base. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including contract drafting, preparing tax exemption applications, managing compliance and regulatory filings, entity formation, conducting tax research, providing legal opinions, and handling other general counsel matters.


We welcome applications from transactional and tax attorneys with relevant experience in tax-exempt organizations, nonprofit law, and corporate transactions. The ideal applicant would have at least 3 years of experience in transactional and corporate practice.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in good standing (specify jurisdiction if required).
  • 3-7 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Strong background in corporate governance, including entity formation, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Experience with tax exemption applications and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Knowledge of charitable solicitation laws, fundraising regulations, and other nonprofit-specific legal issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, client-focused approach.
  • Commitment to serving the nonprofit sector and supporting mission-driven organizations.
