We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney to join our team at For Purpose Law Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and ensuring regulatory compliance for our nonprofit clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Contract Negotiations: Direct the efforts of paralegals, support staff, and outside lawyers to modify, draft, and review contracts, process and procedure policies, government and financial reports, and other legal documents.
- Represent Clients: Represent clients as legal counsel during administrative board reviews, legal proceedings, and litigations when necessary.
- Conduct Due Diligence: Complete extensive due diligence and complex legal research to shield clients from legal risks and regulatory violations in all business transactions and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Advise on Corporate Governance: Assess legal rights and risks of various company structures and make recommendations for corporation, joint venture, limited partnership, and limited liability company options.
- Provide Regulatory Compliance Guidance: Advise clients on best practices in corporate law regulation compliance by providing legal advice on corporate governance, policies, procedures, finances, intellectual property, employment, operations, and regulatory issues.
- Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of the state bar association.
- Advanced Transactional Knowledge: Advanced transactional knowledge and understanding of corporate law, securities law, and tax law is vital.
- Superior Negotiation and Communication Skills: Superior negotiation, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, as in-house counsel for a corporation, or as a staff attorney or associate attorney for a corporate law firm.
- Education: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
$130,000 - $150,000 yearly
