The Opportunity:
Ohalo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead our commercial strategy and drive business growth through development and execution of commercial partnerships. The CCO will report to and work closely with our CEO, Dave Friedberg, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies across crops and geographies.

Ohalo is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer with deep expertise and experience developing, executing, and supporting different partnership models in agriculture to help drive our growth.
Responsibilities:
Roadmap Development and Commercial Planning
- Collaborate with Product Teams to identify new crops and markets based on the unique value creation potential of Ohalo’s technologies.
- Support the development of detailed product roadmaps and prioritization of features and work based on potential and emerging customer feedback.
- Support the development and evaluation of different commercial strategies and go-to market models, by crop and geography.
Commercial Execution
- Build a world-class Commercial team to drive execution and support of the commercial plans.
- Source and pitch potential partners oninnovative and effective deal structures tailored to Ohalo’s diverse partners and crops.
- Manage and coordinate necessary cross-functional support for negotiating and closing commercial transactions, including product roadmap development, technology feasibility assessments, financial modeling, and legal and regulatory support.
Customer Success and Performance Management
- Develop and manage a customer success function to support active partnerships, ensuring execution of objectives by both Ohalo and partner.
- Set and deliver budgets to achieve revenue objectives.
- Provide updated revenue forecasts and budgets to the Leadership Team and Board.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree with a preferred emphasis for PhD in life sciences.
- 10+ years of experience in the ag industry with relevant functional experience in either sales, business development, technology licensing, investment, acquisition, or other corporate development functions.
- Specific experience with a large multinational agriculture inputs company, production operations, genetics licensing or related technology, private equity, or other investment firm.
- 5+ years of experience owning revenue outcomes with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding financial objectives across multiple deal types.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Leadership role overseeing successful sales, business development, licensing, or investment function(s).
- Experience with multiple types of commercial, investment, or JV partnerships in agriculture.
- Hands-on strategic leader willing to lead by doing.
- Highly independent and proactive self-starter with high capacity for learning quickly.
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to build and develop growing commercial functions
- Efficient in self-managing deadlines, prioritizing assignments, and delivering outputs with high attention to detail.
- Proactive, confident, and with excellent communication skills; able to quickly build trusting relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Strategic and analytical thinker who can distill complex scientific, technical or business problems to drive solutions.
- Ability to develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people.
- Must be comfortable shifting between crops, geographies, and business models.
- Strong organizational skills.
