Job Title: Chief Commercial Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Commercial Officer to join our dynamic oncology biotech company, IDEAYA Biosciences.

About the Role:

As the CCO, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our organization from a pre-commercial to a fully commercial entity, ensuring the successful launch and commercialization of our innovative oncology products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build the commercial organization, including hiring key leadership roles and designing functional areas within the commercial organization.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and market share for our oncology products.
  • Lead the sales and marketing functions, overseeing the teams and establishing clear sales targets and KPIs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors, staying informed about market dynamics and leveraging data analytics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Foster customer relationships, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive new business opportunities, identifying and pursuing partnerships, collaborations, and licensing deals in the oncology and biotech sectors.
  • Manage commercial operations, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the commercial function.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a commercial leadership role in the oncology and biotech industry.
  • Proven track record of driving a biotech, pre-commercial organization to become a successful commercial entity by driving revenue growth and market share in the oncology or biotech sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data analytics and market research to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with internal and external partners.
  • Passion for delivering value to customers and a deep understanding of market dynamics in the oncology and biotech sectors.
What We Offer:

At IDEAYA Biosciences, we care about our employees and strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health and well-being benefits.

The expected salary range for this role is $460,000-$491,200, based in our South San Francisco, California office.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including the office location, the candidate's experience, and performance during the interview process.
