Position: Grant Development Officer

Location: Detroit, MI (Guardian Building – hybrid model)

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Compensation: $45-$55/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.


Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience working within grant development and process creation
  • Experience with overseeing and developing a grants portfolio and executing funding records
  • Experience working with grantors and preferably having various connections/contacts within grant network
  • Experience working with eCivis
  • Experience working with Oracle


Plusses:

  • Having a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Experience working in federal government, or working with the federal/state/local government
  • Experience working for a non-profit and partnering within grants


Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Grant Development Officer for a customer in the Detroit area. The Grant Development Officer will be responsible for coordinating development efforts with projected goals and funding for all the departments and offices across the organization. This person will be responsible for managing a team of developers and working closely with all departments to build funding plans. This person will be foundational in the build out, writing of grants, and planning phase of the grants lifecycle. Additionally, this person will be responsible for the storing and tracking of data as well as going out and seeking funding, and supporting the build out of the system in which they will use to acquire data in the future.
