As a Principal Process Scientist, you will lead our efforts in pioneering advancements in bioprocessing and cell culture technologies. This role is critical for driving research and development initiatives, optimizing process efficiencies, and fostering innovation to support the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process science, with a demonstrated track record of leading projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible in cell culture and bioprocessing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and optimization of state-of-the-art bioprocessing technologies and cell culture methodologies to improve efficiency, yield, and scalability.
  • Drive innovation through the identification and application of new technologies and processes to enhance our research and development capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of advanced bioprocessing techniques from concept through to application.
  • Provide scientific leadership and expertise, guiding project teams in the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge process solutions.
  • Conduct and oversee experimental studies to explore process variables, optimize conditions, and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, mentoring scientific staff and encouraging professional development.
  • Stay current with technological advancements, scientific literature, and emerging trends in bioprocessing and cell culture to maintain and enhance our competitive edge.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in process science, with significant expertise in cell culture and bioprocessing technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead research and development projects, with a track record of significant scientific contributions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to design and execute complex experiments and analyze data.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving their goals.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and application in the field of bioprocessing and cell culture.
