DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS


This is a very rare, very attractive opportunity with an extremely successful company at the top of their industry who is seeking a similarly high-quality and successful Logistics leader to grow the next stage of their business. The right person will receive an already-running 100+ truck fleet and given the mandate to optimize existing operations, and then create, propose, justify and execute a plan for the next stage of this business unit’s operations. DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the logistics operations and fleet, including all employees, managers, warehouses, trucks and related support equipment. Interfaces directly with Operations leadership and reports directly to President and CEO of multi billion dollar organization.
  • Develops and implement detailed plans for suppliers and warehousing, ensuring that warehouses, distribution centers and retail customers have the right products in the right place at the right time.
  • Manage the ERP system to drive operational performance. Ensure ERP utilization throughout the organization.
  • Provides customer service and support, interfacing with key customers and stakeholders and doing what it takes to makes sure they always have what they need, and quickly remedying it when they do not - while implementing corrective actions and procedures to ensure that mistakes are corrected the first time, every time.
  • Provides strategic, “buck stops here” overall leadership experience to entire business unit. We meed someone who will run this like they are CEO of the logistics fleet - because one day soon they may be.


DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 Year degree
  • 10+ years experience working in logistics with multiple years experience as the Operations Director, GM, or similar top-level leader in the operation. Both day-to-day management as well as 3-5 year strategic leadership and decision making experience is required.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles. This job requires 100% on-site work five days a week with no exceptions.
