Procurement Director

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is a leading US-owned security company providing a full range of physical security services to government and commercial customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Director of Procurement to join our team.
Job Summary:The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing the company's procurement strategy, ensuring contracts are properly outfitted with all necessary uniform and equipment, and managing vendor relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, supplier relations, inventory management, logistics optimization, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the company's procurement strategy to ensure efficient and timely movement of uniforms and equipment.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Oversee inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing costs and ensuring product availability.
- Optimize logistics flows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Drive continuous improvement and creative changes to improve efficiencies and costs.
- Ensure client satisfaction with uniforms and equipment while managing smooth transitions for onboarding new clients.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA a plus.
- International experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to utilize data to drive operations.
- Computer skills sufficient to develop reports, standard operating procedures, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, graphs, and other products.
- Minimum of four years of law enforcement, military, or senior operations experience in a management capacity or ten years of experience in organizational management.
- P&L reviews and cost center analysis.
- Monitoring financial variances; identifying trends; and implementing actions to improve performance.
- Proven experience driving goals, executing projects, and problem-solving.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong computer/Internet experience and ability to learn and adopt new technology.
- Positive and upbeat in a team environment; a motivator.
- Organized, efficient time management.
- Creative and self-motivated; continually seeks ways to improve self and company.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
