Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the customer engineering platform using Node.js.
• Lead MongoDB integration and optimization efforts, focusing on platform performance and scalability.
• Work alongside front-end developers and system architects to ensure a cohesive user experience across the platform.
• Implement software development standard processes, including code refactoring, unit testing, and continuous integration to maintain code quality and application performance.
• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Explore and integrate new technologies and methodologies, such as AWS for cloud services and graph databases for complex data relationships.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in software development, network engineering technologies, and microservices architecture to enhance the customer platform.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of extensive experience with Node.js, specifically in developing scalable web applications and APIs.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MongoDB; experience with graph databases is highly desired.
• Strong skills in code refactoring, unit testing, and ensuring code quality through standard methodologies.
• Knowledge of Unity (game engine) is considered a strong asset.
• Proven track record of conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture is desired.
• Experience with AWS and familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure is desired.
• Proficiency in Angular or other front-end technologies is highly desired.
• Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
• Ability to work in an evolving environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
