Purpose of Position:

Sportsman’s Warehouse is hiring an individual to own the applications used by our Human Resources department, including HRIS, Time Clocks, Workforce Management, and process automation. Working alongside colleagues in IT and focused on continuously delivering capabilities to serve the needs of our HR department, the ideal candidate will have a passion for emerging technologies with a vision for building sustainable and scalable products and a strong drive for success.

Will function as a technical expert on integration capabilities for HR and Payroll Products. Will perform research, analysis, design, and development on a wide range of next generation API and Integration capabilities and products. Will set technical standards and develop reusable frameworks to ensure secure, consistent and efficient creation of integration capabilities and products.

Will assume technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and lead their technical resources to ensure deliverables are of high quality, follow our technical standards & best practices and perform at scale.

In addition, you will research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities as well as seek solutions for complex technical issues. You will make decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics based decisioning by HR and supporting business teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, upgrade, build, and enhance the HRIS, currently UKG UltiPro.
  • Oversee and directly participate in the implementation of a new Workforce Management solution.
  • Own timeclocks and associated software
  • Own business process automation for HR as needs arise
  • Serve as the primary liaison between HR and IT, ensuring excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to refine requirements and identify new process automation opportunities.
  • Personally configure, upgrade, and maintain 3rd party SaaS and on-premise software.
  • Personally build out new process automation in Java, JIRA, and Ivanti
  • Ability to influence and lead all HRIS system connectivity, to include, yet not limited to, 401(k) platform, Benefits (HSA & FSA, for example), and Payroll data transmissions.
  • Lead RFPs, exploration, and implementation of all HR connected systems.
  • Up-to-date on implications and expectations of AI within HR technologies.
  • Flex to learn and support other enterprise systems as needed
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Experience building, maintaining, and integrating enterprise software
  • Expertise in one or more modern programming languages, including Java.
  • Proven track record in implementing process automation using various tools.
  • Experience integrating, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining HRIS implementations, UKG ex
  • Experience with workforce management solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communication skills
  • Cross functional team coordination and the ability to multi-task


Education/Experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, with exposure to Retail preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with experience implementing and consuming REST apis.
