Job Description
  • This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain.
  • Responsible for the 7-step strategic sourcing process of the assigned category of materials, parts or services as follows:
  1. Identify sourcing needs: Analyze Tower's global needs and past spending patterns, including wholly owned entities and joint ventures.
  2. Supply market analysis: Analyze the supplier market and potential suppliers to identify risks and opportunities, considering cost drivers like raw materials and transportation.
  3. Develop sourcing strategy and evaluate supplier suitability: Collaborate with internal partners to create a strategy outlining supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management. Define the RFP/RFQ process and performance metrics.
  4. Supplier analysis: Identify suitable suppliers and establish selection criteria. Use data from previous steps to establish aggressive price positions, targets, and management approval for the negotiation plan.
  5. Negotiate with suppliers: Plan and execute negotiations with selected suppliers, including planning questions and negotiation strategies. Negotiate favorable contract terms and manage the escalation process.
  6. Execute and integrate: Ensure all parties are involved in the design and execution of the solution, maintaining a transparent process and communication across departments.
  7. Benchmark and track results: Focus on supplier relationship management, data analysis, and process optimization to validate cost savings and execution efficiency.
  • Lead category meetings with buyers across Tower's global sites.
  • Initiate and cooperate on cost improvement projects with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and R&D.
  • Update and maintain the Category Strategy over time, including market and supplier analysis and business continuity plans.
  • Monitor and measure supplier performance and compliance with agreed terms through structured scorecards and supplier business reviews.
  • Monitor and renew existing agreements as needed, proposing new agreements to improve operational efficiency and cost.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years seniority in current position.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher is required.
  • Significant supply chain and category management understanding and experience.
  • Technical background and familiarity with Semiconductor Fabrication - Advantage.
  • Experience with chemicals and/or bulk and cylinder gases - Advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance analysis.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • This is an on-site position - must be able to work in person at one of Tower's locations daily.
