Our team of over 200 employees thinks big and moves fast, and we’re looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work.

About this role

Our ideal technical and product-focused sales enablement sr. manager is someone who can help our sales team become AI subject-matter experts and trusted advisors who understand the AI landscape, our product capabilities and how they drive positive business outcomes, and the customer’s industry deeply. This is how we’ll enable our team to help shepherd prospects through transformational AI projects. Our average deal sizes are 6-figures and are driven by solution-selling in mid-market and enterprise segments.

This role will be responsible for enabling our internal Go-to-Market teams on new product releases, the benefits of new features, and how to effectively demonstrate them to customers. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our teams have the technical knowledge and skills to win deals and drive customer success. If you love to ship impactful work, collaborate, and iterate quickly, be provided real, tactical feedback, and have your perspective and intuition trusted to leave your imprint on Writer, this is the right role for you.

Lastly, this is a new role at Writer, so we’re looking for someone who can both plan for the future and execute for the present.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver technical and product enablement programs for the sales team, including contributions to new hire onboarding, training sessions, workshops, and supporting enablement content and job aids
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to understand new product releases and features, and translate them into sales-ready frameworks, enablement content, and messaging
  • Create and maintain vertical-focused demo environments and assets, ensuring they are tailored to specific industry needs and aligned with sales strategies
  • Train sales teams on how to effectively demonstrate product features and articulate their value to customers
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to sales teams, addressing technical questions and challenges related to product positioning and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback from sales teams and customers, and incorporate it into enablement strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, key verticals, and customer needs to continuously enhance sales enablement programs and materials

Metrics you’ll review or be accountable for

  • Sales team's proficiency in new product releases and features
  • New hires days and number of attempts to complete demo certification
  • Sales velocity - ASP x win rate x cycle times

Is this you?

  • 5+ years of experience working in technical presales, enablement, or product training and sales
  • Strong technical background and ability to quickly understand complex product features and technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical and product enablement programs for sales teams or customers
  • Proven success in early/mid stage SaaS startups is a must
  • Ability to distill complex subjects into formats, trainings, activities, and materials that are accessible to our sales and go-to-market teams
  • Create, own, and run sessions, spanning from new hire product and demo training to continuous development workshops on AI and new product offerings
  • Thrives in ambiguity and can create paved roads from dirt paths
  • Ability to apply sales methodologies, sales processes, and value selling
  • Ability to facilitate sessions with broad, global audiences both in-person and remotely

AND

  • Takes ownership, proactively addressing opportunities and removing blockers
  • Open to honest (and kind) feedback; tough skin
  • Self-aware and committed to learning the why for both successes and failures
  • Proactive communication skills, both sync and async
  • Intrinsically motivated: you set the highest possible bar for what you build and ship
