The Salesforce Commercial Legal Team delivers innovative, trusted, and world-class legal services to advance and protect Salesforce's interests while creating an exciting and fulfilling work environment for our Legal professionals. Our team focuses on delivering legal advice combined with practical business solutions. We support each other as we learn, exchange ideas, and collaborate on complex issues that often require fast answers. We partner with our colleagues in privacy and product to respond to their business needs while also developing our own team’s expertise in the business verticals of our customers such as health care, financial services, and retail. What The Counsel Will DoThe Counsel’s main responsibility will be to support salesforce.com's U.S. Sales organizations in structuring commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. More specifically, the Counsel will:
- Negotiate and draft master subscription agreements and other types of agreements with customers in support of U.S. Sales organizations;
- Partner with revenue recognition, sales operations, technology operations, and other stakeholder teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes;
- Team up with in-house attorneys to obtain any required approvals from internal stakeholders and optimize support to the business;
- Assist with improving standard form agreements and legal processes that scale globally.

- Undergraduate degree and law degree
- State Bar membership
- 2+ years experience negotiating and drafting agreements
- Practical business judgment and a keen understanding that the business teams rely on your expertise and efficiency to “close the deal”
- Well-spoken, persuasive, and concise written and oral communication skills
- Highly responsive, client service-oriented attitude
- Strong desire to take initiative and work independently, when needed, to problem-solve effectively
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in the technology industry
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast and demanding work environment
- Ability to quickly establish and consistently maintain collaborative working relationships with internal clients and Legal team colleagues
- Sense of humor a plus
