Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the underwriting of title insurance policy coverages for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with national commercial escrow officers to close transactions.
  • Negotiate policy coverage and endorsement coverage in connection with the issuance of owner's and loan title insurance policies.
  • Provide expert guidance to sales executives and their clients on title insurance and real estate matters.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of conveyance documents, including deeds and mortgages.
  • Supervise assistants and support staff as needed.
  • Manage revenue and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in commercial underwriting and closing single and multi-site transactions.
  • JD Degree and Bar certification in Illinois preferred.
  • Strong understanding of endorsement and policy coverages, as well as experience negotiating these coverages with principals and their attorneys.
  • Working knowledge of State-by-State title insurance guidelines and real estate practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
