What The Counsel Will DoThe Counsel’s main responsibility will be to support salesforce.com's U.S. Sales organizations in structuring commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. More specifically, the Counsel will:
- Negotiate and draft master subscription agreements and other types of agreements with customers in support of U.S. Sales organizations;
- Partner with revenue recognition, sales operations, technology operations, and other stakeholder teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes;
- Team up with in-house attorneys to obtain any required approvals from internal stakeholders and optimize support to the business;
- Assist with improving standard form agreements and legal processes that scale globally.

If you can demonstrate some degree of proficiency, a desire to learn, and an ability to course correct when needed on the skills listed below, we encourage you to apply.
- Undergraduate degree and law degree
- State Bar membership
- 2+ years experience negotiating and drafting agreements
- Practical business judgment and a keen understanding that the business teams rely on your expertise and efficiency to “close the deal”
- Well-spoken, persuasive, and concise written and oral communication skills
- Highly responsive, client service-oriented attitude
- Strong desire to take initiative and work independently, when needed, to problem-solve effectively
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in the technology industry
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast and demanding work environment
- Ability to quickly establish and consistently maintain collaborative working relationships with internal clients and Legal team colleagues
- Sense of humor a plus
