We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director with people leadership experience to lead our Benchmarking & Data Challenges team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and executing benchmarking projects and data challenges that drive innovation and excellence in our scientific research and development efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of scientific methodologies, data analysis, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for benchmarking and data challenge initiatives.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of scientists and data analysts.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align benchmarking efforts with company goals.
  4. Manage existing relationships and establish new strategic partnerships.
  5. Engage with global research, industry, and standards development communities to stay abreast of new technologies and best practices.

Project Management:

  1. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of benchmarking and data challenge projects.
  2. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  3. Manage resources, timelines, and project risks effectively.

Scientific Analysis & Evaluation:

  1. Design and implement robust benchmarking methodologies and data challenge frameworks.
  2. Analyze and interpret complex scientific data to draw meaningful conclusions.
  3. Develop and maintain databases and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  4. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.
  5. Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  6. Present scientific results at conferences, workshops, and other professional forums.

We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

Education & Experience:

  1. PhD or equivalent degree in a scientific discipline such as Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related field, with expertise in working on problems in Biology, Chemistry, and Healthcare.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in scientific research, data analysis, or a related field.
  3. Demonstrated evidence of leadership in large collaborative research projects.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling, Machine Learning, and data visualization.
  2. Proficiency with scientific computing software and tools (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
