As the Manager of Reporting and Insights, you will be responsible for generating insights about campaign performance for one of our largest and most strategic business lines, TV & Video. You will support both internal and external partners in leveraging campaign results and first party data to generate actionable insights regarding vendor funded advertising campaigns. You will also play a key role in the training & development of two Lead Analysts on the R&I team who will report directly to you.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do
  • Proactively and autonomously lead and drive reporting and insights deliverables and initiatives for your assigned category, as well as contribute to other strategic team projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to leverage campaign insights and analysis to help craft sales proposals, develop data driven media plans, optimize campaigns, and inform future campaign strategy
  • Act as primary contact for all campaign reporting and insights for internal & external partners, helping them understand and activate against performance
  • Analyze multiple large data sets to identify root cause of performance trends and outcomes
  • Coach, train, and develop Lead Analysts reporting to you
Basic qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, media, eCommerce, analytics, insights, measurement and/or reporting, or other relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to various audiences
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel (advanced formulas & pivot tables) and PowerPoint (data visualizations and story-telling)
  • Client Relationship Management and presentation skills, specifically with multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 3+ years retail and/or media experience with a focus on advertising analytics.
  • Experience with advanced analytic tools (ex: Tableau, PowerBI, SQL querying)
  • Experience with marketing measurement and analytics methods (ex: Media Mix Modeling, Mutli-Touch Attribution, In-market Testing)
  • Understanding of ad serving platforms (such as Google Ad Manager, Campaign Manager, SA360, DV360) and how ad serving works across websites and apps
