Role Summary
The Maintenance and Facilities Manager position is a comprehensive role responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, equipment repair, and regulatory compliance. Here are the key aspects of this position
Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and government standards, including stormwater management and hazardous waste handling.
- Maintenance Management: Schedule and coordinate repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and equipment to maintain continuous production operations.
- Technical Skills: Modify PLC programming, interpret blueprints, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Leadership: Supervise maintenance staff, assign duties, and motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Regulatory Oversight: Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal agencies, including Air Quality Management and Fire Department requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with food and beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, ammonia refrigeration, boiler systems, and Total Production Maintenance Programs.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Language: English proficiency required, Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands
The role requires regular physical activity, including:
- Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally over 100 pounds.
- Standing, walking, climbing, and balancing frequently.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for operating equipment and reading blueprints.
Work Environment
The position involves exposure to:

- Wet/humid conditions
- Extreme temperatures
