Job DescriptionJob Description

The A Head for Profits (AHFP) company motto is "TRUST us for the Perfect Pint." Our mission is to provide great-tasting draft beer to the consumer, the way the brewmaster intended and to grow draft beer sales.


Human Resource Assistant Tasks:

  • Call newly hired employees to enroll into our HRIS Paycom.
  • Filing all required paperwork into employee folders.
  • Assist with essential payroll functions such as checking hourly employee hours, accounting for holiday pay, etc.
  • Process deductions for uniforms.
  • Assist with Worker's Compensation claims reporting.
  • Assist with FSA, FMLA and 401k enrollment and questions.
  • Provide payroll reporting to the accounting department.
  • Terminate employees in our HRIS.

HR Assistant Tasks (Employee Benefits):

  • Assist new hires with enrollment through Paycom.
  • Follow up with employees who have not completed the on-boarding process.
  • Ensure newly hired employees receive benefit cards and appropriate deductions.
  • Reconciling invoices from Third Party Administrators (TPA).
  • Communicate any issues with the HR department.

Education and/or experience:.

  • High school or Associate's degree.
  • Two years' experience in HR functions preferred.
  • Experience in HR related software.
  • Or combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with both internal and external customers.

Technical/Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Gmail, MS Office and HR software programs necessary.
  • Intermediate knowledge and use of Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools.

Skills:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
  • Above average attention to detail necessary to ensure all paperwork processed is complete, accurate and compliant with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Organization skills are critical.
  • Conflict and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay of $18 - $21 per hour commensurate on experience
