Job DescriptionJob DescriptionInsignia Systems is challenging the status quo across the retail landscape to bring fresh energy to in-store design & displays. We are looking for people willing to be accountable for walking in every day to seek opportunity and find solutions for our clients.  This role will work with large, traditional CPGs as well as new and emerging CPGs transitioning from DTC to retail. The sales director is accountable for program success via thoughtful project intake, cross-functional collaboration and a clear understanding of design strategy. This includes a focus on balancing brand and retailer priorities to design and implement in-store programming that is best-in-class.

Position responsibilities include:
  • Meet/exceed annual revenue targets through thoughtful, proactive client engagement
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision makers, including brand managers, retail sales teams, and agency partners
  • Drive end to end sales cycle from securing meetings, identifying needs, developing and presenting programs, sales and renewal
  • Own facilitating the display process by guiding brands from product development through to execution
  • Understand the competitive landscape of both design agencies and display manufacturing and effectively differentiate our approach & value
  • Ensure long term retention of existing accounts through customer service and strategic planning
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure successful execution of client programs and support of team initiatives and objectives
  • Identify new client opportunities, outreach, and build relationships

Required qualifications/key competencies:
  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience within a creative agency, CPG, broker, or retailer
  • Experience selling displays into CPG and/or Retail sales verticals
  • Understanding of retailer in-store marketing priorities and fixture requirements, Target specifically
  • Polished communication skills, written & verbal
  • Eagerness to engage in all aspects of the sales process (cold outreach, e-mail campaigns, in-person presentations, trade shows, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Position requires in-person meetings and store visits
