Responsibilities:

· Oversee and evaluate all activities of the dock and dock employees, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight

· Conduct daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies

· Monitor freight movement using various computer software applications

· Consult with production planning team to plan deliveries for the next day

· Draft and distribute driver schedules; Communicate to supervisor when the use of outside trucks and drivers when needed

· Teach and implement safe lifting and loading techniques

· Assess the efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities; identifies and recommends improvements to shift, department, and facility

· Ensure product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations, and daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business objectives

· Coordinate with employees from other departments to maximize productivity

· Communicate with floor supervisor

Qualifications:

· Ability to work Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm

(Hours and Days may change based on Company needs)

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Familiarity with transportation, routing, drivers, S2K, and SAMSARA

· Problems-solving skills

· Critical thinking skills

· Leadership and coaching skills

· Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
