Hera Flight is a leading private jet charter company, known for providing exceptional service and unparalleled luxury to our clients. We are now seeking a highly experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our company, overseeing all aspects of accounting operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the aviation or related industry and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and jet owners.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of financial models and projections.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the department.
    • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth and profitability.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to support business decisions and initiatives.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the aviation or related industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
