Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Recovery Coach to join our Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) team. This part-time role, for 20 hours per week, focuses on one-on-one recovery mentoring and support for clients identified as IDDT clients. As an Addiction Recovery Coach, you will work evening and weekend hours, providing essential addiction recovery support while maintaining close communication with clients' primary clinicians to ensure collaborative care.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote Recovery: Support all pathways of addiction recovery and foster a recovery-oriented environment.
  • Client Engagement: Provide supportive coaching to enhance clients' recovery knowledge and understanding.
  • Resource Accessibility: Assist clients in overcoming barriers to accessing recovery resources.
  • Community Integration: Introduce clients to appropriate self-help supports and accompany them to recovery support meetings.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and report to the direct supervisor.
  • Crisis Intervention: Utilize skills and knowledge in crisis intervention related to chemical dependency.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and federal client privacy regulations.
  • Professional Development: Participate in relevant addiction recovery training and weekly recovery coaching supervision sessions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Personal long-term recovery from addiction and substantial experience in addiction recovery support.
  • Ethics and Standards: Commitment to ethical practice standards and continuous personal and professional development.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish supportive, trusting relationships with clients diagnosed with various addictive disorders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Transportation: Valid drivers license, dependable automobile, and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: Licensed or certified in the addictions field.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with clients with addictions and psychiatric disorders.
  • Model Knowledge: Understanding of the IDDT and PACT models.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: Regular activities include walking, sitting, driving, typing, handling objects, reaching, bending, climbing stairs, and using all senses.
  • Work Environment: Work primarily conducted outside of an office setting, involving travel and community engagement.
