Position Summary:
We are looking for a committed and empathetic Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist to become a part of our Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) team.

This part-time position, comprising 20 hours per week, is centered on providing individualized recovery mentoring and support for clients identified as IDDT participants.

As a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist, you will be required to work during evenings and weekends, delivering vital addiction recovery assistance while ensuring effective communication with clients' primary care providers to promote coordinated care.


Key Responsibilities:

Encourage Recovery:
Advocate for all avenues of addiction recovery and cultivate a recovery-focused atmosphere.

Client Interaction:
Offer supportive coaching to improve clients' understanding and knowledge of recovery.

Resource Facilitation:
Help clients navigate barriers to accessing recovery resources.

Community Engagement:
Introduce clients to suitable self-help resources and accompany them to recovery support gatherings.

Record Keeping:
Keep precise documentation of client interactions and report to the direct supervisor.

Crisis Management:
Apply skills and knowledge in crisis management related to substance use disorders.

Regulatory Compliance:
Follow HIPAA and federal regulations regarding client privacy.

Professional Growth:
Engage in relevant training and weekly supervision sessions focused on recovery coaching.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:
Personal long-term recovery from addiction and significant experience in supporting addiction recovery.

Ethical Standards:
Dedication to ethical practice standards and ongoing personal and professional development.

Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Relationship Development:
Capability to build supportive, trusting relationships with clients experiencing various addictive disorders.

Adaptability:
Openness to working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Transportation:
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification:
Licensed or certified in the field of addictions.

Experience:
Prior experience working with clients facing addictions and mental health disorders.

Model Knowledge:
Familiarity with the IDDT and PACT models.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:
Regular tasks include walking, sitting, driving, typing, handling objects, reaching, bending, climbing stairs, and utilizing all senses.

Work Environment:
Work primarily conducted outside of a traditional office setting, involving travel and community interaction.
