Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of the blending plan, tank farm management, scale up of developed formulas and assist in the design of systems and processes for maintaining a top tier blending operation. This will consist of interaction with customers during validation of system and processes as well as training and development of the Wet Process Tech/Blending team. This position works closely with Quality, Sales/Marketing and Manufacturing.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all Contract blending operations satisfying internal and external customers
  • Responsible for management of the water purification system and processes
  • Make certain that internal and external customer production schedules are met on time and at specification
  • Participate in customer and site production planning meetings
  • Ensure all blending systems are operating at standard cycle times and waste levels
  • Masters product/technology knowledge for the field of application and uses this knowledge to advise and coach colleagues.
  • Orchestrate the Contract Blending Operation in a proactive manner
  • Maintain a high level of visibility
  • Instill a benchmark level of record keeping and housekeeping in the lab and blending areas

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business Management, or other related discipline
  • 3-5+ years of plant/operations/manufacturing experience a broad background in non-woven converting or related industry
  • Experience with instruments such as HPLC and GC
  • In-depth knowledge of organic chemistry
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office products, and related software
  • Proven effective management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational experience in a blending facility
  • ISO Certification process training
  • Familiarity with EPA regulations
  • Experience in a FDA regulated operation

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
