Our Interview Process:

At Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. we believe in finding the best talent and ensuring they're the right fit for our team. Our comprehensive interview process is designed to not only evaluate your skills and experience but also give you a taste of what it's like to work with us. Here's a breakdown of our process:


1. In-Person Interview with Assistant Operations Director: You'll have the opportunity to meet with our Assistant Operations Director to further discuss the position, your qualifications, and how you align with our company values.

2. Background Check and Drug Test: To ensure the safety and security of our team and clients, we conduct a thorough background check and drug test as part of our hiring process.

3. Final Interview with Company Officers: If you pass the background check and drug test you will meet with the two officers of Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. to discuss job expectations and compensation at which time they will inform you if you will move forward to the orientation internship. You will also negotiate your starting wage based on the salary range posted online and your experience for your 90-day probationary period.

4. Orientation Intern to Full-Time Hire: The first 2-3 days are set aside as "Orientation" to get a good working knowledge of the company, its background and your role within the company as well as completing challenge-based-learning videos and quizzes that involve lessons on industry wide professionalism. This orientation process is paid at a rate of $12.50/hour. Once outside of your internship, your full-time salary will take effect for the duration of your probationary period.


Position Overview

The Corporate Executive Assistant serves as a liaison and primary point of contact between Corporate management and the Department Heads of the company. They will be responsible for conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests with a sense of urgency and confidentiality, and performing clerical functions deemed necessary to continue steady production of the company.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Executive Assistance/Liaise:
      1. Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Corporate Office of the Assistant Director of Operations, Director of Operations and President/CEO  including: managing a set of extremely active calendars of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings. 
      2. Provide “gatekeeper” and “gateway” role, providing a bridge for smooth communication between the Corporate Office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.
      3. Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering, and security services, conduct and document regular facilities inspections, and reports any deficiencies.
      4. Act as liaison between Corporate Office and customers as first Corporate point of contact in the instance a situation breaches the veil from either the Sales, Fulfillment, Field, Human Resources, Accounting or Information Technology departments.
  • Corporate Management/Maintenance:
      1. Corporate Maintenance.
        1. Renewal of business licenses, surety bonds, property taxes, vehicle maintenance, and insurance maintenance.
      2. Vehicle and property management and maintenance.
        1. Oversight and management of the company fleet to include recurring maintenance scheduling, property taxes, insurance coverage, sales/purchasing and files maintenance.
        2. Oversight of and management of properties through:
          1. Managing third party services as needed for residential/commercial properties to include cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, specialty vendors and contracts.
          2. Manage commercial and residential lease agreements, enforce lease requirements and discuss technical matters with landlord and tenant such as lease agreements, maintenance and evictions.
          3. Create lease agreements and manage properties according to conditions of agreement and ensure compliance with agreement to include timely payment by the tenants.
          4. Perform financial analysis of potential joint venture and funding opportunities, conduct portfolio management, and assist in new market strategies
  • Administrative Duties:
    1. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs for administrative staff, including cross-training between departments.
    2. Management and maintenance of company office supply inventory through weekly supply audits and orders. Order employee name tags and business cards as needed.
    3. Answering telephone calls and emails from customers and vendors and directing them to relevant staff.
    4. Ensure steady production from the Sales, Fulfillment, Field, Human Resources, Accounting and Information Technology departments and assist where needed to ensure steady production to include performing administrative functions and auditing current operations.
    5. Creation and maintenance of corporate timeline per projects including day-to-day tracking and monetary reporting in order for updates to be provided at a moment’s notice.
    6. Perform duties including but not limited to confidential reporting/audits with external vendors, compilation of documentation for legal cases and communication with attorneys regarding such cases, creation of and maintenance of project timelines and expense trackers, on-site quality control visits for in-progress projects, customer communications, etc.
    7. Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Office.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Corporate Office and while they are not the direct supervisor of the Department Heads, they do hold a level of responsibility and authority that ensures they can communicate directly to the Department Heads and remaining company employees on behalf of the Corporate Office.

Training, Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
  • Preferred previous work experience or education in Office Management, Executive Assistance, Operations Management, Accounting and/or Construction preferred
  • Five (3) years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task while maintaining complex schedules and easily adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement.
  • Strong work ethic to meet changes in responsibilities that will take place daily.
  • Capacity to work independently and as a team player.
  • Must represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
