Your Title: Auto Bodily Injury Manager

Our/Your Location: Remote/Anywhere within the US

Your hours: Monday – Friday 8 hours/day Eastern Standard Time

Compensation: $90k - $110k plus benefits health/dental, other optional coverages, 15 vacation days, allocated sick days

You Report To: Assistant Vice President of Claims

You will lead all Injury Adjusters, guiding teams that manage complex auto injury claims, including PIP, BI, Med Pay, and attorney-represented cases. You will implement process improvements, provide feedback on processes, lead organizational changes, and develop employees through regular coaching and feedback to achieve business results. Additionally, you will drive the execution of operational regulatory compliance training, policies, and procedures. You will strive to exceed customer service benchmarks, take charge of continuous education, and nurture your team's growth.

What you will do:

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage a team of injury adjusters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality claim assessments and exceptional customer service.
    • Review and analyze coverage and apply policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements for auto injury claims mainly in Massachusetts.
    • Interview medical specialists, agents, police, medical professionals, witnesses, attorneys, or claimants to compile information regarding accidents and resulting injuries
    • Make sure adjusters follow up with applicable parties to discuss liability and settlement negotiation in exchange for a release
    • Investigates bodily injury liability claims by securing recorded statements from insured drivers, claimant drivers, independent witnesses, and determination of comparable negligence relative to liability exposures
    • Review and analyze bodily injury claim files to determine potential exposures, identify cases that should be recommended for settlement, and develop strategic plans that will be efficient, cost-effective, and done in a timely manner
    • Examine claim forms, policies, and other records to determine insurance coverage.
    • Oversee the entire claims process, including the evaluation of injuries, determination of loss, settlement negotiations and resolution, while ensuring all compliance regulations are adhered to.
    • Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure accurate and consistent claims handling in compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with carriers, attorneys, claimants, and internal policyholders to address inquiries, resolve disputes, and ensure a positive claims experience.
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, set performance targets, and implement strategies to meet or exceed goals.
    • Generate and present regular reports to senior management and external stakeholders, highlighting department performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
    • Stay current with industry regulations and best claims practices to ensure that claims processes are compliant with all legal requirements.

What you bring

    • Minimum of five (5) years of auto injury claims experience and prior claims supervision required.
    • Experience handling complex auto claims
    • Adjuster’s license
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Advanced knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures familiarity with Massachusetts will be a strong plus
    • Excellent evaluation and strategic skills are required.
    • Strong claim negotiation skills.
    • Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
    • Spanish or Portuguese speaker preferred
