Summary/Objective

The Warehouse/Logistics Manager position is a key role that includes overseeing the warehouse, inventory control, and material handling, as well as internal/external customer service, parts sales, transportation and staff scheduling and supervision.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and organize the Warehouse as a distribution center, focusing on efficiency in both operations and capacity
  • Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
  • Coordinate and track movement of goods out to field staff and customer sites
  • Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
  • Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes
  • Hire, train and evaluate performance of Warehouse Associates
  • Schedule Warehouse Associates to meet demand of deliveries and incoming shipments
  • Assist with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls
  • Work directly with Department Managers and Project Managers on forecasting to ensure efficient operations
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. This job also requires the use of machines and hand tools necessary for warehouse work.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Standard days and hours of work for Warehouse operations and staff are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 4 or more years previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
