JOB SUMMARY:  The Food Depot is looking for a full-time employee to maintain and support our hosted Microsoft Dynamics NAV (CERES) system throughout the organization.  Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business needs and opportunities for improvement.  Partner with the IT Manager and Leadership team, to ensure that established procedures are implemented and enforced regarding Ceres, Ceres training, Ceres upgrades, and Ceres connectivity with relevant systems. Must be able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and on-going communication within The Food Depot, Feeding America, outside consultants, and with appropriate user groups.  Ability to train and on-board new hires on Ceres software and support all users with finding resources and on-going support to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the system.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support Leadership by using Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) functionality and Jet Reports to provide meaningful data for tracking operational metrics. 
  • Act as lead report designer in Jet Reports for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) system. Coordinate with service provider to obtain additional Jet Report training as available. 
  • Monitor existing daily operations, resolve problems timely to ensure high-quality customer service, and facilitate new functionality on Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Ceres) systems. 
  • Provide Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) support and expertise to the organization and serve as liaison with Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) support consultants. 
  • Identify, develop, coordinate, and maintain operational processes\procedures relevant to Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) systems; identify key controls within these processes\procedures and recommend improvement activities as necessary; document Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) reporting requirements. 
  • Support and partner on cross-functional Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) improvement efforts to analyze system data and operational results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Identify, develop, and administer staff training programs and other educational opportunities on Microsoft Dynamics NAV(Ceres) system. 
  • Assist with data mining efforts involving the ERP system.
  • Learn and seek to understand other relevant systems at The Food Depot that may be impacted by Ceres or Ceres data.
  • Engage other Food Banks and Feeding America members to share knowledge and best practices on a continuous basis.
  • Track and seek approval on all system upgrades and feature enhancements to ERP system and support as necessary.
  • Document ERP processes and SOP’s.
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Qualifications


  • Associate’s degree in MIS or 3+ years IT system analysis experience or combination of education and experience 
  • Ability to learn independently and become a subject matter expert
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (CERES) ERP System a plus
  • MSSQL and Database reporting experience a plus
  • Jet Reports report writing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Microsoft Excel expertise preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
