Job Title: Agency Support Specialist

At The Food Depot, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Agency Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of agency orders, preparing agency picks, and providing comprehensive training and support for partner agencies on the Agency Express platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Compile and distribute the weekly offerings list to partner agencies in a timely manner, ensuring accurate reflection of regular and TEFAP items.
  • Order Entry: Accurately receive and enter all agency orders into the CERES system on a daily basis, addressing agency concerns quickly to prevent errors or delays in order processing.
  • Inventory Movements: Complete all necessary inventory movements daily, ensuring seamless flow of products from receiving to storage and eventual distribution.
  • Training and Support: Provide in-depth training to partner agencies on the Agency Express platform, ensuring they can effectively place and manage their orders.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, experience with inventory management software (such as CERES), and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:

The Agency Support Specialist will spend 30% of the time driving a vehicle or operating equipment, 20% of the time in the distribution of food, and 50% of the time in a warehouse environment. The employee must be able to get into a forklift and operate all of the controls, and be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels.
