Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize reports, dashboards, and scorecards using IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Design and implement data models and frameworks in Cognos to facilitate efficient data retrieval and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize and tune reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report generation, data accuracy, and performance.
- Provide training and technical support to end-users on Cognos reporting tools and functionalities.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and training materials as necessary.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Cognos reporting tools and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cognos developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- Familiarity with data modeling and framework management in Cognos.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IBM Cognos administration and server configuration.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Certification in IBM Cognos Analytics or related technologies.
