  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize and tune reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report generation, data accuracy, and performance.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users on Cognos reporting tools and functionalities.
  • Document technical specifications, user guides, and training materials as necessary.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Cognos reporting tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cognos developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
  • Familiarity with data modeling and framework management in Cognos.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IBM Cognos administration and server configuration.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Certification in IBM Cognos Analytics or related technologies.
