We currently have an opening for a Marketing Manager in our Hartford, WI office. This position is ON-SITE in Hartford, WI.

This role supports the company culture and mission statement of "Be a strong, independent, community bank committed to our customers and to improving the quality of life in our community." Overall, this role is responsible for the bank's marketing program, administers programs, projects and/or processes specific to marketing, and is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the marketing department's daily functions.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Develop and execute our strategic marketing plan across all channels of communication, including traditional and digital marketing.
  2. Develop and implement marketing tactics necessary to effectively differentiate our products and services.
  3. Manage the relationships of outside marketing agencies and relevant vendors, negotiate contract terms and conditions for services. Manage all media buying.
  4. Assess our brand presence in the marketplace to ensure consistency across the board. Establish standards for product-specific data sheets, promotional publications, presentations, advertising, lobby appearance, signage, and all other avenues in which we interact with our customers, including all community involvement promotions and events.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, and our opportunities for growth through management and execution of market research: brand awareness, customer satisfaction, demographics, industry trends, and competitive analysis. Identify underserved or new markets that will enhance the value we offer our customers and develop actionable plans in response to these new opportunities.
  6. Prepare and maintain the bank's marketing budget including promotional materials, print costs, media campaigns, creative implementation, agency costs and more.
  7. Stay abreast of ongoing industry research and trends. Oversee marketing research and apply it to marketing strategy as appropriate. Also stay abreast of local and national media options and apply changes when needed.
  8. Deploy marketing campaigns and implementation from idea to execution.
  9. Monitor, measure, evaluate and report marketing and results on an ongoing basis. Establish benchmarks, develop supporting reports, and communicate results. Provide quarterly reports to the Leadership Team.
  10. Provide input regarding product and service design based upon knowledge/research of target customers.
  11. Communicate marketing campaign information to staff and provide instructions for promotion or use.
  12. Create, update, and maintain marketing policies, procedures, and audit items.
  13. Coordinates and oversees community bank events such as Easter Egg Hunt, Parades, Cookouts, etc.
  14. Represent the bank in various business, trade, charity, civic and social organizations to support the community and provide positive public relations. Participate in community service activities as a representative of the bank. Speak at community events on appropriate topics as requested.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Keep abreast of key economic data and regulatory changes which may impact on the financial performance of the Bank.
  2. Maintain up-to-date job knowledge through professional reading and affiliation with appropriate industry organizations.
  3. Stay abreast of competitor information such as their marketing campaigns, new products/services, brand changes and messaging content.
  4. Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Work Relationships and Scope:

Must maintain highly professional relationships with both internal and external customers. Keep highly confidential bank information private. Responsible for making any marketing recommendations to the bank's leadership team concerning possible methods to improve the bank's marketing and brand recognition. Must stay current through education in marketing, compliance, and technology.

Measures of Performance:

Must possess thorough knowledge of marketing principles and best practices. Ability to present in front of groups and explain complex information. Be a self-starter and independent thinker. Quality, accuracy, reliability, friendliness, thoroughness and timeliness of services provided to customers and co-workers; ability to gain the trust and respect of other managers and employees; customer satisfaction with services provided by the bank; accessible and responsive to the needs and concerns of employees; soundness of business decisions made regarding service commitments, effectiveness of communications and development of good working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors; adherence to the Code of Conduct by keeping bank and personnel information confidential; participation in training and appropriate professional development, understanding of and adherence to bank policies and procedures; professional work place appearance and conduct.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in marketing or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of marketing experience is required, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong digital marketing background including PPC management, SEO/SEM, digital and web analytics and data tracking tools, and tag management tools.
  • Knowledge and experience using social media tools and reputation management.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, reporting on, and applying research from data analysis.
  • Self-starter and an independent thinker.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed established goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, negotiation, analytical and people skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher programs.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment. Travel to branches as needed. Hours of work are generally during normal business hours 8:15 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and average at least 40-45 hours a week. This position is expected to be present at community events outside of normal banking hours as required.
