About the Position:
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Strategic Planner to support our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of strategic planning activities to support our mission and program objectives. The role involves extensive analysis, consultation and collaboration with officials and staff members to address issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems related to International Trade, Border Security or related functional areas.
Responsibilities may include:
Strategic Analysis and Planning
- Workforce and succession planning, developing strategic workforce plans and identifying and addressing gaps
- Conduct analysis of mission, program goals and objectives
- Perform program evaluations and assess program effectiveness
- Carry out requirements analysis and organization performance assessments
- Undertake special studies, trade-off analyses, and feasibility analyses
Program and Project Management
- Manage and oversee strategic projects from inception to completion
- Facilitate technology transfer and insertion to enhance program capabilities
- Provide training and consulting services to support program management efforts
Consultation and Collaboration
- Confer with organization officials and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems related to International Trade, Border Security or related functional areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives with organizational goals
Performance Measurement and Improvement
- Develop and implement performance metrics to evaluate program success
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct cost/cost performance trade-off analyses to optimize resource allocation
Required Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation (CBP BI)
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience in strategic planning or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools
