Senior Human Resources Generalist

Location: Fairless Hills, PA

Salary: $80k - $90k/ Year

(who will also oversee the facility in New Castle, DE, once a month)

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coach, counsel, guide, and mentor internal customers on best practices related to attracting, engaging, and investing in employees through the employee lifecycle.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic HR initiatives related to people development, talent management, staffing, retention, diversity, organizational development, and performance management for union and non-union employees at multiple locations in North America.
  • Ensure the HR function's priorities and efforts are customer-centric and aligned to the execution of the operational strategy.
  • Oversee talent acquisition strategy, objectives, and KPIs for the area of responsibility. Ensure the development of a robust and sustainable talent pipeline for production, trades, technical, and supervisory positions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and counsel operations leaders on change management.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to operations management regarding communication and leadership style and its impact on departmental change efforts.
  • Provide expertise, counsel, and coaching support to department leaders and direct reports on HR annual processes and systems with the goal of building management competencies within the local leadership team.
  • Oversee HR activities related to managing union relationships to include contract negotiations, monthly meetings, grievance investigation and response, arbitration, and other labor relations functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for each location as well as Company policies, procedures, and requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
  • HR experience in a union environment is required, including the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience with negotiation of collective bargaining agreements preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices, including talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, change management, and organizational development.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving HR processes and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Effective conflict resolution and mediation skills.
