The Role:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) specializing in analytics and machine learning solutions for Operational Technology (OT), manufacturing, and production environments, your primary responsibility will be to identify, cultivate, and convert leads into opportunities. You will play a crucial role in driving the sales of our services aimed at automating and optimizing manufacturing processes using advanced analytics and machine learning technologies. Your focus will be on enhancing yield, quality, and efficiency for our clients through innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Grow sales and close business.
  2. Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as cold outreach, networking events, social media, and industry partnerships to generate high-quality leads within the target market.
  3. Prospecting: Research and identify potential clients within manufacturing, OT, and related industries who could benefit from our analytics and machine learning solutions.
  4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, understanding their pain points, challenges, and business objectives related to manufacturing and production.
  5. Solution Presentation: Effectively communicate the value proposition of our analytics and machine learning services, demonstrating how they can address specific challenges and deliver tangible business outcomes.
  6. Consultative Selling: Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding the unique needs of each prospect and tailoring solutions to meet those needs effectively.
  7. Pipeline Management: Manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM software to ensure accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure alignment between client requirements and the capabilities of our analytics and machine learning solutions.
  9. Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within manufacturing, OT, and analytics to inform sales strategies and approaches.
  10. Achievement of Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and other performance metrics set by the company.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in analytics or machine learning is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational technology, and the application of analytics and machine learning in improving efficiency and quality.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
