PURPOSE OF JOB:

As a Contracts Administrator in the legal department, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s contracts including creating contracts from company templates and manage the process of execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Contract Development and Review:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms align with organizational requirements and legal requirements.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance and sales operations teams, to finalize contract terms.
  1. Contract Management:
    • Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking system.
    • Monitor contract renewal dates and deadlines to ensure timely renewals or terminations.
    • Draft and manage amendments or modifications to existing contracts as necessary.
    • Generate contract reports.
  1. Communication and Coordination:
    • Act as the point of contact for contract questions.
    • Monitor and facilitate communication between stakeholders during contract negotiations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (preferred).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and administering complex agreements
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience utilizing contract management systems.
  • Understanding of contract terminology, principles, and practices.
  • Familiarity with the medical device industry or the healthcare contracting landscape a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to review and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  • Review, analyze and accurately interpret clients' complex contractual documents.
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to create and maintain strong business relationships.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Strong follow-up and personal documentation skills.
  • Able to identify previously agreed to contract terms and translate that to a current contract.
  • compile and analyze data and maintain historical information.
  • Established judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
