Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close out construction and maintenance projects for industrial and commercial facilities. 
  • Understand and manage the requirements of the customer contracts. 
  • Responsibilities include scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management. 
  • Study project plans and specifications to determine the appropriate construction means and methods. 
  • Understand and manage all technical requirements of the project through Procore including RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, meetings, and change events. 
  • Deliver contracted scope of work with the highest quality and efficiency. Identify any out-of-scope work, track costs, and submit change requests for customer review and approval. 
  • Develop, monitor, and control project schedule. 
  • Meet or exceed project budget requirements.  Optimize project delivery. 
  • Collaborate with project team to identify, plan, and execute all project specific quality control plans and ITPs (Inspection & Testing Plans). 
  • Work with project team and Safety Manager to develop and implement all company and project specific safety requirements including industrial safety, rigging and lifting plans, erection plans, etc.  Communicate, assess, and mitigate project risks. 
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Manager to determine labor and qualifications required to deliver the project safety and efficiently.   
  • Coordinate with purchasing team to issue subcontracts and purchase orders for all project related equipment, rentals, materials, and subcontracted services, ensuring they meet the project budget and deliverables. 
  • Effectively communicate project status to the appropriate stakeholders. 
  • Submit bi-weekly billing per the agreed upon contract terms and schedule of values. 
  • Report directly to the VP of Construction on project status including schedule, cost, quality, safety, change orders, submittals, receivables, and customer relationship. 
  • Maintain customer relationship and pursue new or additional business opportunities. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering OR equivalent.   
  • Experience in the management of construction projects and equivalent services for the heavy industrial industry—minimum 5 years   
  • The ability to lead projects with independence.  
  • Strong communication, organization, and management skills.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  
  • A valid driver's license.  
  • OSHA 30 Certification. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT  

  

  • Requires prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, climbing, regular lifting and carrying to move up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, reaching, feeling, grasping and push/pulling.  
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions/temperatures.  
  • Regular mental and visual attention much or all the time with manual coordination.  
  • General office environment conditions.  
  • Flexibility required to travel.

Responsabilidades principales:

  • Iniciar, planificar, ejecutar, monitorear, controlar y cerrar proyectos de construcción y mantenimiento para instalaciones industriales y comerciales.
  • Comprender y gestionar los requisitos de los contratos de los clientes.

  • Trabajar con el equipo del proyecto y el Gerente de Seguridad para desarrollar e implementar todos los requisitos de seguridad específicos de la empresa y del proyecto, incluida la seguridad industrial, los planes de aparejos y elevación, los planes de montaje, etc.  Comunique, evalúe y mitigue los riesgos del proyecto.
  • Coordine con el Gerente de Operaciones de Campo para determinar la mano de obra y las calificaciones requeridas para entregar el proyecto de manera segura y eficiente.
  • Coordinar con el equipo de compras para emitir subcontratos y órdenes de compra para todos los equipos, alquileres, materiales y servicios subcontratados relacionados con el proyecto, asegurando que cumplan con el presupuesto y los entregables del proyecto.
  • Comunicar eficazmente el estado del proyecto a las partes interesadas apropiadas.
  • Presentar la facturación quincenal según los términos del contrato acordados y el cronograma de valores.
  • Informe directamente al vicepresidente de construcción sobre el estado del proyecto, incluido el cronograma, el costo, la calidad, la seguridad, las órdenes de cambio, las presentaciones, las cuentas por cobrar y la relación con el cliente.
  • Mantener la relación con el cliente y buscar oportunidades de negocio nuevas o adicionales.

 

Cualificaciones mínimas:

 

  • Licenciatura en Gestión de la Construcción, Ingeniería Civil, Ingeniería de la Construcción O equivalente.
  • Experiencia en la gestión de proyectos de construcción y servicios equivalentes para la industria industrial pesada: mínimo 5 años
  • La capacidad de liderar proyectos con independencia.
  • Fuertes habilidades de comunicación, organización y gestión.
  • Competencia en Microsoft Office
  • Una licencia de conducir válida.
  • Certificación OSHA 30.

 

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS Y ENTORNO DE TRABAJO

  

  • Requiere caminar prolongadamente, pararse, sentarse, agacharse, ponerse en cuclillas, agacharse, trepar, levantar y cargar regularmente para moverse hasta 50 libras, hablar, escuchar, alcanzar, sentir, agarrar y empujar / tirar.
