POSITION OVERVIEW

JGM's Transportation division is critical to JGM delivering accelerated construction solutions for industrial owners, Nationwide, that have speed to market needs, emergency jobs and plant shutdowns. That's why we need the very best Heavy Haul Truck Drivers delivering our products- Safely, on time and every time

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hauling Standard loads of fabricated structural steel, heavy equipment, large machinery.
  • Hauling over dimensional loads.
  • Hauling oversized loads up to 200,000 lbs.
  • Hauling Super Loads, Local and Over-the-road hauls.
  • Ability to operate a variety of different hauling equipment such as standard flat beds, step deck and double drop load, landoll and stretch trailers.
  • Review all routes, schedule, permits and BOL information to ensure accuracy and compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Maintain all electronic logs and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Report any maintenance needs of vehicle and trailers needs to Fleet Manager.
  • Coordinate all work with Transportation Manager.
  • Work with Transportation Manager to develop the best transportation solutions for upcoming projects.
  • Operate within DOT laws and regulations along with JGM Safety Policy.
  • Always maintain professional appearance when representing JGM.
  • Interact with customers, vendors and JGM staff professionally and courteously.

QUALIFICATION

  • CDL - CLASS A.
  • DL - DRIVER'S LICENSE.
  • 2 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Over dimensional hauling experience preferred, but not required.
  • experience securing various cargo such as structural steel, large weldments, heavy equipment and large machinery preferred, but not required.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to reason.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.).
  • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide past employment references.
