Job Summary: 

Supports the College Mission to serve students, employers, and the College community. Provides

leadership, quality education, and job skill training in a safe, clean, positive, and productive learning

environment. Participate collaboratively and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and college

partners to promote the general well-being of the department and the college.


Essential Functions:

  1. Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for plumbing lab exercises.
  2. Ensure that the lab area is clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
  3. Maintain inventory of plumbing tools and supplies, and inform the instructor when additional resources are needed.
  4. Perform minor repairs on lab equipment when necessary.
  5. Promote a safe and effective learning environment for students in conjunction with faculty and staff.
  6. Assist students during lab activities by answering questions, demonstrating techniques, and providing guidance under the supervision of the instructor.
  7. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by students during lab activities.
  8. Help students troubleshoot common issues with plumbing systems during hands-on training.
  9. Works collaboratively with other department personnel to meet College program and accreditation standards and requirements. 
  10. Works within the assigned program budget.
  11. May assist in the development of lab courses and instruction.
  12. Promotes job readiness, encourages professionalism, and good work habits.
  13. Other Duties as Assigned


Qualifications:  

To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

 

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Certifications: Licensed Plumber in the State of Utah.

Experience: At least 4 years of plumbing experience.

Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.


 

Environmental Factors: 

Conventional Educational Environment. In some programs, employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals and the hazards associated with their respective industry equipment.
