Position: Grant Writing Specialist

Role Overview: GHDC is seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writing Specialist to join our team. As a Grant Writing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our mission-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a proven track record in successful grant writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities that align with GHDC's goals and initiatives.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of grants, submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and partners to enhance funding prospects and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant regulations to optimize grant-seeking strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, including a successful track record of securing grants and meeting fundraising goals.
  • Strong research skills to identify and assess potential funding opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using grant management software/tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
