Position: Grant Writing Specialist
Role Overview: GHDC is seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writing Specialist to join our team. As a Grant Writing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our mission-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a proven track record in successful grant writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities that align with GHDC's goals and initiatives.
Write compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
Maintain accurate records of grants, submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and partners to enhance funding prospects and opportunities.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant regulations to optimize grant-seeking strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in grant writing, including a successful track record of securing grants and meeting fundraising goals.
Strong research skills to identify and assess potential funding opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in using grant management software/tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
