POSITION OVERVIEW
The Customer Relationship and Order Management Specialist I role is responsible for interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, order placement and requests about products. Responsible for acting as a liaison between external customers and internal customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct contact with customers by telephone, electronically and face to face
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries
• Work internally to facilitate customer’s request
• Work with various departments to ensure product is available to ship on time to the customer’s request. Provide delivery information to customer as requested
• Set up new customer accounts in ERP system
• Process orders, forms, applications and requests
• Organize workflow to meet customer timeframe
• Maintain customer database in ERP system
• Answer phones and respond to customer requests via phone, email, and fax in a timely manner
• Follow polices and standard operating procedures
• All other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
o High School diploma or GED
o 1-3 years of similar customer service related experience (preferred)
o ERP experience (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
o Capable of working independently to manage day-to-day tasks
o Advanced user type understanding of the Microsoft Office 365 & Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
o Familiarity with an ERP solution (i.e. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.)
o Creativity in approaching complex challenges and problems
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
o Ability to work effectively with team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and communication styles
o Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; written and oral communication
o Ability to handle a multitude of different situations; sometimes simultaneously
o Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
o Humble and willing to seek knowledge without hesitation
